Zhongfoshan

Zhongfoshan is located about two kilometers southwest of the county town. In the early years of the Republic of China, a temple was built here, surrounded by lush cypress and ancient trees. In 1984, a cemetery was established on Zhongfoshan, and the “Monument to Revolutionary Heroes of the War to Resist U.S. Aggression and Aid Korea” was erected. Two pavilions were also built at the mountaintop and on the mountainside, while stone steles from the Qing Dynasty and the Republican era were placed at the foot of the mountain. There is also a nunnery, where nun Shi Xinyuan resides. The site has seen a gradual increase in incense offerings and has become a popular leisure destination for local residents.
