Baishui River

Baishui River is located on the banks of Xiongdi River in the southeast of the county town. Beside the mountain, there is a cave from which a large stream of spring water gushes out continuously. The water is milky white. A Qing Dynasty poet wrote the poem "White Spring and Living Snow": “This spring, like snow, surges mightily, / Its foamy rush forms a white wave. / A hundred-foot silver dragon coils in the watery depths, / A thousand white cranes' cries shake the sunny shore. / The gleam stirs icebergs into motion, / The hazy air magnifies the jade-like ramparts. … Want to cast a long fishing rod into the White Water? / Go deep into the whirlpool to hook a divine turtle.”
