Qianmianfan Site

The Qianmianfan Site is a protected cultural heritage site of Hubei Province.

Qianmianfan Site

Located 150 meters west of Louzitianwan Village, Tangxiang Township, Huangpi District, it is a Neolithic-period site. The site covers an area of about 30,000 square meters, with a cultural layer around 4 meters thick. Collected artifacts include stone chisels, axes, and pottery shards. The pottery is mainly sand-tempered gray ware, with some sand-tempered red ware, and a small quantity of black-glazed pottery. Decorative patterns include basket weave, string, incised, pit-and-dot, and perforated designs. Vessel forms include tripods, jars, vats, beans (dou vessels), and basins. It belongs to the Shijiahe culture. (Third Batch)
