Zhongfenwei Site

The Zhongfenwei Site is a protected cultural heritage site of Hubei Province.

The Zhongfenweiwan Site is located in the north of Zhongfenweiwan Village, Qijiawan Town, Huangpi District, Wuhan City. It is a Shang Dynasty site covering an area of approximately 57,000 square meters, with a cultural layer about 2.5 meters thick. Artifacts collected at the site include crescent-shaped jade spades, jade bi disks, jade ge blades, bronze ge blades, and pottery shards. The pottery shards are predominantly sandy red-brown pottery, followed by sandy gray-brown pottery, with small amounts of clay gray pottery and stamped hard pottery; decorative patterns include cord marks, checkered patterns, string patterns, and pit impressions; vessel types include li tripods, jars, and dou stems.
