The former residence of Zhang Hao is a cultural relic protection unit of Hubei Province.

Former Residence of Zhang Hao

Located in Linjiadawan, Huilong Town, Tuancheng County. Zhang Hao (1897–1942), originally named Lin Yuying, was from Huanggang, Hubei Province, and one of the leaders of the Chinese labor movement within the Communist Party of China. He joined the CPC in 1922 and served as Secretary of the Shanghai Western District Committee, Standing Committee Member of the Hunan Provincial Committee, Secretary of the Seamen’s Union, Political Commissar of the 129th Division of the Eighth Route Army, and Deputy Director of the All-China Federation of Trade Unions’ Workers’ Movement Committee among other roles. The residence was initially built in the early Republican era and rebuilt during the Anti-Japanese War. It is a two-courtyard structure covering an area of 377 square meters with a brick-and-wood frame. The former residence of Zhang Hao bears witness to his early life and gradual path toward revolution, possessing significant historical and educational value. (Fifth Batch)
