Xiaonanhai Earthquake Site

The Xiaonanhai Earthquake Site is a cultural tourism attraction.

Xiaonanhai is located at the border between Enshi and Chongqing, and transportation is not very convenient. It is a high-altitude freshwater barrier lake that combines mountain, sea, island, and gorge scenery, and is also the most well-preserved ancient earthquake site in China to date. The lake is surrounded by beautiful peaks, with peculiar rocks lining the shore, winding streams along the coast, crisscrossing waterways within the lake, and lush forests and bamboo on the islands.

How to get there: First take a bus from Xianfeng to Qianjiang in Chongqing, then transfer to another bus to the Xiaonanhai Earthquake Site. From Xianfeng, you can only go there by chartered vehicle.
