Huangshi Geological Museum

The Huangshi Geological Museum is located in Wangren Town, Daye City, Huangshi, Hubei, covering an area of 8,000 square meters. It integrates functions such as science education, leisure tourism, geological research, promotional exhibitions, and information exchange. The museum comprehensively showcases the geological evolution and its products in the Huangshi region, exploring the glorious thousands-of-years-old culture of exploration, mining, selection, and smelting. It is a magical journey of geological discovery and a cultural exploration of mining and metallurgy in Huangshi.

The exhibition halls are divided into a lobby, six themed exhibition areas, as well as functional zones such as a temporary exhibition area, leisure viewing area, and children's area. Each area is designed with a corresponding display style based on its theme, offering ever-changing scenery and endless fun. Visitors can tour in sequence: the Lobby, Earth Hall, Geological Hall, Resources Hall, Mining & Metallurgy Hall, Environment Hall, and Outlook Hall.

The museum will use a series of audiovisual and multimedia exhibits, large-scale interactive displays, physical and specimen displays, as well as spatial designs featuring geological characteristics, to fully present Huangshi’s beautiful landscapes and their formation processes, its rich mineral resources, and profound mining and metallurgical culture. It is set to become an important window for Huangshi’s geological science education and showcase of its mining and metallurgy culture brand.

Wangren Town: Wangren Town is the eastern gateway of Daye City and a key town of Huangshi, covering a land area of 104.4 square kilometers. It governs 20 administrative villages, 192 villager groups, and has a total population of 42,000. The town has 25,400 mu of arable land, 35,000 mu of mountainous land, and 20,000 mu of water area.

Wangren Town enjoys a superior location: it is 10 kilometers east of Weiyuankou Wharf, 22 kilometers west of Daye urban area, bordered by Huangjing Mountain to the north and connected to downtown Huangshi via the Huangsiwan Tunnel.
