The Zoucun Ancient Tombs are a cultural heritage site protected at the provincial level in Hubei Province.

Zoucun Ancient Tombs

Located 500 meters northeast of Huyangu in Shangzou Village, Gaohé Township, Daye City, these are tombs from the Warring States to the Han Dynasty. The site covers an area of approximately 750,000 square meters. There are 117 burial mounds still in existence. Larger mounds have a base diameter of around 20 meters and a remaining height of 2.5–3.5 meters. Ordinary mounds generally have a base diameter of 14–18 meters and a remaining height of 1–2.5 meters. Exploration has revealed that most are earthen pit tombs, with a small number of brick-chambered tombs. Some earthen pit tombs contain white clay plaster and pebbles. (Third Batch)
