Ancestral Hall of the Zou Clan

The Ancestral Hall of the Zou Clan is a cultural heritage site protected at the provincial level in Hubei Province.

The Ancestral Hall of the Zou Clan is located in Sance Village, Liurenba Town, Daye City. Its original construction date is unknown, but it was expanded in the ninth year of the Kangxi reign during the Qing Dynasty (1672). Facing west and situated eastward, it features a courtyard-style layout, measuring 26 meters in width and 60 meters in depth. The structure has a flush-gable roof covered with gray tiles, is built with a brick-and-timber structure, and employs a post-and-lintel framing system. This ancestral hall boasts a grand architectural scale and exquisite carvings, and is considered a masterpiece of rural architecture in southeastern Hubei. (Fifth Batch)
