Yangjiamiao Site

The Yangjiamiao Site is a cultural heritage site protected at the provincial level in Hubei Province.

The Yangjiamiao Site is located in Jinxing Village, Changtan Town, Zhongxiang City, and dates back to the Neolithic Age. Covering an area of approximately 120,000 square meters, the cultural layer is 1.2–2 meters thick. Exposed red-fired earth has been found. Artifacts collected include stone axes, knives, chisels, and pottery shards. The pottery shards are predominantly sandy red pottery, followed by gray clay pottery, with small amounts of red clay pottery and black pottery; decorations include basket patterns, grid patterns, incised patterns, rope patterns, and appliqué patterns; vessel types include tripods, bean-shaped vessels, jars, cups, bowls, vats, pot-shaped vessels, and spinning whorls, among others.
