Xiaohuang Tomb is a cultural heritage site protected at the provincial level in Hubei Province.

Xiaohuang Tomb

Located about 400 meters northwest of Jiangjiamiao in Gaomiao Village, Yingzhong Town, Zhongxiang City. The tomb’s occupant, Lady Fan, was the wet nurse of Emperor Jiajing of the Ming Dynasty and was posthumously honored as a First-Rank Noblewoman. The tomb covers an area of approximately 150,000 square meters. The earthen mound has a base diameter of about 20 meters and a remaining height of around 2.5 meters. The sacred way in front of the tomb stretches 250 meters and features, in sequence and facing each other, a pair of stone lions, sheep, camels, horses, and warriors, along with one stele, two turtle pedestals, a pair of ornamental columns, and one memorial archway. The inscriptions on the stele record the decree issued in the 39th year of the Jiajing reign (1560) to honor Lady Fan, mother of Lu. (First Batch)
