The Xiejia Bay Ancient Copper Smelting Site is a protected cultural heritage site of Hubei Province.

The Xiejia Bay Ancient Copper Smelting Site

Located in Baiguo Tree Bay, Jindian Village, Dongqiao Town, Zhongxiang City, this Eastern Zhou Dynasty site covers an area of about 33,000 square meters, with a cultural layer approximately 2 meters thick. Exposed copper smelting slag has been discovered. The collected pottery fragments mainly consist of sandy gray pottery mixed with clay, followed by red clay pottery, featuring decorations such as stamp impressions and rope patterns. Artifacts include basins, dou, jars, li, ding, molds, as well as tube tiles and flat tiles. (Third Batch)
