Lantai Academy

Lantai Academy is a cultural relic protection unit of Hubei Province.

Lantai Academy

Located on Lantai Road, Yingzhong Subdistrict Office, Zhongxiang City. Built during the Qianlong reign of the Qing Dynasty, it faces south and covers an area of 160 square meters. The complex follows a traditional quadrangle layout, with two surviving wing rooms that are largely identical in structure. Each wing room is six bays wide (26 meters) and 12 meters deep. Constructed with a brick-and-wood frame, the buildings feature a single-eave, flush-gable roof covered with gray tiles and a post-and-lintel construction system. This building provides important physical evidence for the study of local education during the Qing Dynasty. (Fifth Batch)
