The former site of the command post of the Central China Breakout Blocking Battle is a cultural relic protection unit of Hubei Province.

Former Site of the Command Post of the Central China Breakout Blocking Battle

Located in Lianhua Village, Songluo Township, Shennongjia Forest District. In August 1946, to cover the main force’s breakout, the First Column of the Central China Military Region set up a blocking line against the Kuomintang army along the section from Lianhuaguan in Guanmenhe to Zhenggou, with the command post stationed here. The original site was Lianhuaguan, facing south, with a width of three bays and a depth of five bays, covering a construction area of 278 square meters. This site is an important witness to the “Central China Breakout” and holds significant historical value. (Fifth Batch)
