Guo Family Ancestral Hall in Xinmi

The Guo Family Ancestral Hall in Xinmi is a cultural tourism attraction.

The Guo Family Ancestral Hall is located east of Wulidian Village, Xinhua Road Subdistrict, Xinmi City. Originally built in the 13th year of the Yongle era of the Ming Dynasty (1415 AD), it was later destroyed during wartime and rebuilt in the 10th year of the Xianfeng era of the Qing Dynasty (1830 AD). Facing south and situated to the north, the hall covers a total area of 920 square meters. Existing ancient structures include the main gate tower, second gate, screen wall, and main hall. The main gate is located in the center of the southern side, flanked by three wing rooms on each side, all built with brick-and-wood structures in the flush-gable style. The main hall is three bays wide and three bays deep, with a front porch, and is remarkably well-preserved. Inside the ancestral hall, there are over two stone stelae from the Ming and Qing dynasties, two epitaphs, and a pair of stone lions and stone gate piers, all dating back to the Ming Dynasty.
