Tomb of Yan Zhoumin

The Tomb of Yan Zhoumin is a cultural relic protection unit of Zhengzhou City.

The Tomb of Yan Zhoumin is located in Nancun Village, Chengguan Town, Xinmi City. The tomb mound is 5 meters high and has a circumference of 70 meters, facing south. To the north of the mound stand one stone stele each from the Ming and Qing dynasties. The front of the Ming stele is inscribed with an account of how his parents and wife were granted titles by Emperor Jiajing, while the back bears the inscription “Epitaph of Yan Jun, Prefect of Yingzhou in Shanxi and Holder of the Rank of Attendant Gentleman from Weinan,” describing his life. The Qing stele mainly describes the distribution of the Yan family in Miqu County. This tomb holds certain value for the study of Ming dynasty tomb structures, burial customs, and Ming history.
