The Temple of the Medicine King and the Temple of Laozi are cultural heritage sites protected by Zhengzhou City.

The Temple of the Medicine King, commonly known as the Medicine Temple, is located north of Litang Village, Laiji Town, about 7.2 kilometers southeast of Xinmi City. Its founding date is unknown, but it has been renovated five times since the first year of the Jiaqing reign of the Qing Dynasty (1796). Covering an area of 920 square meters, the temple currently consists of a two-courtyard complex with structures such as the mountain gate, main hall, and side rooms.

The Temple of Laozi is located on the northern side of Litang Village, Laiji Township, about 7.2 kilometers southeast of Xinmi City. Facing south, according to the “Record of the Renovation of the Temple of Laozi” from the 48th year of the Qianlong reign of the Qing Dynasty (1783), it states: “The temple was initially built in the early Qing Dynasty.” It covers an area of 1,150 square meters and currently houses structures such as the mountain gate, east and west corridor rooms, worship hall, and main hall.

The Temple of the Medicine King and the Temple of Laozi represent the most well-preserved ancient architectural complex in Xinmi City. With a relatively large area and numerous inscribed stone tablets within the temples, they hold significant historical value for the study of ancient architecture in the Central Plains region.
