The Da Hanzhai Mosque in Gu’an County has an uncertain founding date. In the 23rd year of the Guangxu reign during the Qing Dynasty,

with funding efforts led by Imam Bai Yuxiu, local elder Jin Dianchao, and others, skilled craftsmen were brought in from Tianjin. The mosque was constructed by blending architectural features from the North Mosque at Yaowu Temple in Tianjin and the Niujie Mosque in Beijing. Over the generations, especially since the Third Plenary Session of the Communist Party, it has undergone multiple renovations. The main prayer hall now covers a construction area of 540 square meters. The north lecture hall and ablution room each cover 160 square meters. The main hall features a triple-arched structure with a front porch, topped with green-glazed tiles, horn-like decorations at the corners, and floor mats inside.
