Qiaobei Village Site

The Qiaobei Village Site is a National Key Cultural Relics Protection Unit.

Era: Neolithic Age

The Qiaobei Village Site is located in Qiaobei Village, Kuqu Township, Song County, approximately 85 kilometers southwest of Luoyang City. It stretches 350 meters from east to west and 250 meters from north to south, covering a total area of 87,500 square meters. It was discovered in the winter of 1956 and re-examined in the summer of 1959. The unearthed pottery mainly includes fine clay red pottery, coarse red pottery, and white-painted pottery, along with a small amount of coarse sand-tempered pottery; stone tools such as perforated stone knives, stone sickles, stone chisels, stone wheels, and stone axes were also found. It belongs to the Miaodigou type of the Yangshao Culture. In May 2013, it was designated and announced by the State Council as part of the seventh batch of National Key Cultural Relics Protection Units.
