The Shitou Village scenic area is an exceptionally distinctive primitive village, located in Jiudian Township, Song County, at the border of Ruyang and Yichuan. This place is covered with peculiar rocks and inhabited by people with simple, unsophisticated customs, offering a pristine pastoral scenery. Drawn by a longing for tribal life, we arrived at Shitou Village. Here, stone houses stand side by side, stone walls and courtyards follow the natural terrain, and stone mills, stone grinders, stone troughs, stone tables, and stone benches can be seen everywhere; various uniquely shaped and lifelike rocks are scattered all over the mountains, reportedly numbering over a million kinds. Shitou Village presents stone as a cultural phenomenon, showcasing traditional Chinese stone architecture, natural stone forests, bizarrely shaped rocks, exquisite stone carvings, stone stoves, stone mills, stone grinders, and other series of production and daily-use tools, embodying a rich primitive stone culture. It allows us to experience yet another scene where peculiar rocks coexist with daily life, and reality lives alongside mystery.
