The former site of the headquarters of the 7th Sub-district of the Taihang Military District is a cultural relic protection unit of Henan Province.

The former site of the headquarters of the 7th Sub-district of the Taihang Military District is among the fourth batch of key cultural relics protection units in Henan Province. It is located at the western end of Liushuling Village, Shibaotou Township, in the western section of the Cangyu Mountain Grand Canyon, Weihui City, Xinxiang City. The main structure was built in the late 19th century and served as the temporary headquarters of the 7th Sub-district from 1943 to 1944, leading the anti-Japanese struggle across vast areas of northern Henan including Ji County, Lin County, and Qi County, composing heroic battle songs of resistance against the enemy.

The former headquarters of Commander Pi Dingjun faces west and features a grey-tiled, flush-gable roof. It is a quadrangle composed of 11 single-story stone houses, including a passageway, southern wing, eastern wing, western wing, and surrounding walls, covering a total area of about 400 square meters. It exhibits typical mountain-style architecture. On the north side outside the site are three stone mills, symbolizing how Commander Pi led the army and local people to achieve self-sufficiency and abundance. The lintel window of the main gate still bears the three characters “毛主席” (Chairman Mao) handwritten by Commander Pi, simple and unadorned. Inside the southern wing, display boards introduce the life and deeds of Commander Pi Dingjun, while the eastern and western wings exhibit items used by Commander Pi during the war of resistance.

These items include tables, beds, stools, lanterns, braziers, porcelain ware, and buckets, most of which are original artifacts. Only some collapsed roofs and walls have been properly restored, all strictly in accordance with their original appearance.

The former headquarters of Commander Pi Dingjun holds significant historical reference value for understanding the heroic life and deeds of General Pi Dingjun, as well as the history of the war of resistance in northern and western Henan. It also has distinct contemporary significance for patriotic education today.
