North China Mountain Villa is located at the foot of the Ming Great Wall in Shanfangbao Township, Wanquan County, right next to

National Highway. It lies on the main route from Zhangjiakou City to the counties and districts on the Bashang Plateau. The scenic area is surrounded by mountains on both the east and west sides, featuring a cool climate, dense forests, and blooming flowers everywhere. It serves as an eco-tourism destination ideal for sightseeing and leisure activities. North China Mountain Villa has also developed a variety of tourist facilities including a swimming pool, lotus pond, ice-skating rink, ski slope, hunting ground, and rare birds and animals viewing pavilion, further enhancing its appeal to tourists.

Shanfangbao Township: Shanfangbao Township is situated at the northernmost tip of Wanquan District, with geographical coordinates at 114° east longitude and 41° north latitude, and is 25 kilometers away from Kongjiazhuang, the urban district. Historical records indicate that during the Zhengtong era of the Ming Dynasty (1436–1449 AD), it was a military camp area and was named Shangfangying. In the 15th year of the Chenghua era (1479 AD), the regional inspector Yin Qian built a fortress here, which became a lodging and catering point for passing soldiers and officials, hence the name was changed to Shanfangbao.
