The Wangxue Residence

The Wangxue Residence is a cultural heritage site protected by Henan Province.

The Wangxue Residence is located at the home of Wang Taojin in Wangxue Village, Yanglei Town, Wen County. Originally built in the third year of the Qianlong reign during the Qing Dynasty (1738), it served as the residence of a Qing-era court official known as a Chaoyi Daifu. The original structure consisted of four courtyards arranged in a row, but most were later destroyed, leaving only this one relatively intact. The residence faces south and measures 10.9 meters in width from east to west and 48.36 meters in length from north to south, covering a total area of approximately 527 square meters. The surviving structure consists of two courtyards and is a typical example of a traditional northern-style siheyuan (quadrangle courtyard).

On November 21, 1986, the People's Government of Henan Province designated it as a cultural heritage site.
