Xubao Ancestral Temple

The Xubao Ancestral Temple is a cultural heritage site protected at the Wen County level.

The Xubao Ancestral Temple is located in Xubao Village, Wude Town, dating back to the Qing Dynasty.

On April 27, 2011, the Xubao Ancestral Temple was designated as part of the third batch of county-level cultural heritage protection units in Wen County.

Wude Town: Zhaoxian Township is situated on the North China Plain, in the southwestern corner of Wen County, known as the hometown of Tai Chi. It borders the Yellow River to the south and Mengzhou City to the west. The township administers 16 administrative villages, covering a total area of 31.14 square kilometers, with a population of 22,000 and 12,750 mu of arable land.

Zhaoxian Township boasts a rich cultural heritage and is home to numerous scenic and historic sites. It is recognized as the birthplace of Sima Yi, the Emperor Xuan of Jin, hence known as the “Hometown of Sima.” It is also the origin of the Wen family clan, where remnants such as the ancient capital ruins of the State of Wen, the ruins of the ancient Jin city, and the kiln ruins for firing molds can still be found.
