The former site of the Mu Family Ancestral Hall in Muzhuang is located in Muzhuang Village, Wude Town, and dates back to the Qing Dynasty.

On April 27, 2011, the former site of the Mu Family Ancestral Hall in Muzhuang was designated as part of the third batch of county-level cultural heritage protection units in Wen County.

Wude Town: Zhaoxian Township is situated on the North China Plain, in the southwestern corner of Wen County—known as the hometown of Tai Chi. It borders the Yellow River to the south and Mengzhou City to the west. The township administers 16 administrative villages, covers a total area of 31.14 square kilometers, has a population of 22,000, and includes 12,750 mu of arable land.

Zhaoxian Township boasts a rich cultural heritage and is dotted with numerous scenic and historical sites. It is the birthplace of Sima Yi, the Emperor Xuan of Jin, and is known as the “Hometown of Sima.” It is also the origin of the Wen clan, where ruins such as the ancient state of Wen’s city site, the ancient Jin city site, and the pottery kiln site are preserved.
