Gaoshantai Scenic Area

Located in the northwest of Beixintun Township, there is a cone-shaped hill that is steep on the west and gentle on the east, resembling an apricot pit. An isolated round-platform high mountain stands alone, hence the name: Gaoshantai (High Mountain Platform). The area around Gaoshantai is enclosed by stone walls, featuring one temple and three courtyards, each with a brick-carved ornamental gate. Each courtyard has east and west wing rooms, and at the very front is the mountain gate that locks the courtyard. A large golden plaque inscribed with “Bixia Yuanjun” hangs above the mountain gate, presenting a rather magnificent sight.
