The Longhu Scenic Area is located adjacent to Lingbao City in Henan Province, situated on the Nongjian River, a tributary of the Yellow River. It is 22 kilometers from the city center of Lingbao.

The Longhu Scenic Area is a large-scale water conservancy hub project that primarily serves irrigation purposes, while also providing comprehensive benefits such as flood control, power generation, water supply, and tourism. The lake area has a shoreline stretching 5 kilometers, with well-preserved vegetation along both banks. The area features lush mountains and beautiful waters, a pleasant climate, and over 5,000 acres of expansive water surface.

The Longhu Scenic Area boasts picturesque natural scenery, with diverse and undulating mountain ranges and a winding lake surface. Yue Tian Ridge is covered with pine and cypress trees at the top, lined with fruit trees in the middle, and fringed with willows and poplars at the base, offering secluded paths that are truly enchanting. The Red Soil Slope is steeped in the fascinating legend of Emperor Guangwu (Liu Xiu) slaying Wang Mang. The lake teems with fish and shrimp, making it a delightful spot for fishing by the shore. The shimmering waters are perfect for boating and playing, bringing a sense of tranquility and joy.
