Lingbao Bodhisattva Hall

Lingbao Bodhisattva Hall is a cultural relic protection unit of Henan Province.

The Bodhisattva Hall, originally named Bodhisattva Shrine, is located in Jinjia Village, Guxian Town, Lingbao City, and is a relic of the Bamboo Grove Temple from the Tang Dynasty. The exact founding date of Bamboo Grove Temple is unknown, but according to relevant records, it was renamed Bodhisattva Shrine in the first year of the Yongchang era during the Tang Dynasty. After multiple renovations, it has retained its current form.

There remains a wooden carved shrine, which is painted and consists of three sections: upper, middle, and lower. The upper part features an ancient-style pavilion-like structure mimicking ground-level architecture, divided into three tiers from top to bottom. Each tier contains five shrines, increasing in size from top to bottom, with the lowest tier being the largest. Each shrine has a pointed roof. The overall carving craftsmanship is exquisite, holding significant historical and artistic value for the study of folk religion in China.
