Qianling Site

The Qianling Site is a cultural tourism attraction.

The Qianling Site is located in Diyuan Village, Zhuyang Town, Lingbao City. It stretches west to the eastern bank of Siyu River, south to the Lingzhao Highway, and north to the southern part of Diyuan Village. The site spans approximately 260 meters from north to south and about 400 meters from east to west, covering a total area of over 100,000 square meters.

Dense ash pits are found on the exposed cliffs of the site, which features thick cultural layers rich in artifacts, with the cultural layer reaching a depth of about 4 meters.

The collected pottery fragments are predominantly red pottery, followed by gray pottery; the surface decorations mainly consist of cord marks and incised patterns, with additional stacked patterns being less common. A certain number of painted pottery pieces were also found. The pottery body is mostly made of fine clay, followed by sandy clay. Identifiable vessel types include small-mouthed pointed-bottom red pottery bottles made of fine clay, painted pottery basins, red pottery bowls, and gray pottery jars mixed with sandy clay. A fair amount of stone tools were also discovered. Based on the artifacts, the site is believed to be a cultural relic from the Yangshao period.

Zhuyang Town: Zhuyang Town is located 42 kilometers southwest of Lingbao City in Henan Province, covering a total area of 783 square kilometers. It governs 41 administrative villages and 361 villager groups, with a population of 42,000.
