Cemetery of the Qin People

The Cemetery of the Qin People is a cultural heritage site protected by Henan Province.

The Cemetery of the Qin People is located in the northeastern part of Wenxi Village, Yangping Town, Lingbao City. It was discovered during drilling in 1998 while constructing the Lianyungang–Khorgas Expressway. In the northeastern part of Wenxi Village, 965 ancient tombs were discovered during the drilling of a 1,075-meter-long and 50-meter-wide roadbed; among them were 763 from the Warring States period, 127 from the Han dynasty, 7 from the Tang dynasty, and 8 from the Song dynasty. Upon excavation, these tombs were found to be largely similar in size, arranged in an orderly fashion, and oriented in the same direction. On September 25, 2000, the Henan Provincial People’s Government designated it as part of the third batch of key cultural heritage protection units. This cemetery holds significant value for the study of Qin culture.

Yangping Town: A town under the jurisdiction of Lingbao City. Established as the Yangping People's Commune in 1958, it became a township in 1983 and was upgraded to a town in 1987. Located in the northern part of the city, it covers an area of 145.1 square kilometers and has a population of 47,000. The Longhai Railway and National Highway 310 pass through the town.
