Wadian Town: Wadian Town in Wancheng District is located midway between downtown Nanyang City and Xinye County, each about 30 kilometers away. It lies to the west of the Baihe River and to the east of the Henan Oilfield. The town government is situated in Wadian Street, which historically enjoyed convenient water and land transportation, flourishing shipping, and vibrant commerce, earning nicknames such as “Little Chang’an” and “Copper Wadian.” The town covers a total area of 86 square kilometers, with 5,466 hectares of arable land and a population of 57,171, predominantly Han Chinese. The main ethnic minority is the Hui people, numbering 5,118, making it one of the more concentrated Hui communities in Wancheng District.
