Tomb of Zhai Yi

Also known as Mǎchéng Tumulus, it is located half a kilometer southwest of Zhonghou Village in Wangu Township. Zhai Yi was the Eastern Commandery Governor during the Han Dynasty. He raised an army to rebel against Wang Mang but was killed by Wang Mang and buried here. The tomb mound is 3 meters high and covers an area of 1,334 square meters. Artifacts unearthed from the tomb include hollow bricks, pottery jars, pottery pots, bronze ware, as well as pottery shards from the Longshan Culture and Shang Dynasty periods, featuring decorative patterns such as checkered designs, stripes, and rope impressions.
