Memorial Temple of Song Wenke

Located in Songlin Village, Niutun Town, it was built to honor Song Nie, who served as the Chief Sacrificial Official at the Imperial College and Grand Secretary of the Wenyuan Pavilion during the Ming Dynasty. Three main halls and one grand gatehouse still stand today. The gatehouse features two plaques: one inscribed with “Memorial Temple of Song Wenke” in gold characters on a red background, bestowed by Lü Wenhua, the magistrate of Huaxian County during the Qing Dynasty, and another personally written by Emperor Zhu Yuanzhang of the Ming Dynasty, reading “Illuminating Teacher of the Founding Era.”
