Xianlu Lake Wetland Scenic Area is located in Guyuan County, Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province, beside Provincial Highway 42. It was formerly known as the Guyuan Qiyi Reservoir. Established in 2016, the scenic area lies adjacent to the Grassland Sky Road and the Chongli Winter Olympics ski resort, and borders Taibus Banner of the Xilingol Grassland in Inner Mongolia to the north, making it a cultural crossroads between Mongolian and Han peoples. Against the backdrop of the Zhangjiakou Winter Olympics, the scenic area hosted an international cross-country skiing competition in February 2017. Covering nearly 20,000 acres, the area boasts beautiful natural surroundings. Xianlu Lake is situated within the scenic zone, featuring crystal-clear waters that often attract migratory birds such as swans. The site offers a variety of water activities including floating tents, motorboats, and windsurfing. As a wetland grassland, Xianlu Lake Scenic Area enjoys cool, fresh air and vibrant blooms in summer, with lush green meadows stretching as far as the eye can see. Facilities include a luxury log cabin area, deluxe Mongolian yurt zone, RV camping area (with approximately 100 RVs available for visitor experience), and a greenery-themed restaurant. Entertainment options comprise dozens of activities such as equestrian performances, bonfire parties, song and dance shows, dry skiing, horseback trail riding, go-karting, bumper cars, urban swordsmen games, parent-child adventure bases, archery, and shooting.
