Huanghua Mountain

The Taihang Huanghua Mountain Scenic Area is located in the Linlu Mountain of the eastern Taihang Mountains, 10 kilometers west of Lin County. Since the Warring States period, it has been a popular destination for emperors, scholars, and artists from various dynasties to visit and escape the summer heat. There are as many as 72 scenic spots to explore here, featuring both ancient architecture and natural landscapes. Over the centuries, many renowned scholars and artists have left behind numerous poems, essays, and paintings. Jing Hao, a famous painter of the Five Dynasties period, created landscape paintings of mountains and trees here and developed the ink-outlining technique known as the "Panoramic Landscape Painting School," which became the foremost school of landscape painting during the Tang and Song dynasties.
