Located about 1 kilometer west of Qingnian Cave, the Luositan Scenic Area is also known as "Tianqiao Duan." The name "Luositan" comes from the depth of the pool, which is said to be as deep as a length of silk spun by silkworms. Additionally, because the Zhuozhang River features "nine gorges and eighteen drops," this spot is a major drop in the river with a steep cliff, and it is spanned by a suspension bridge across the canyon that connects Henan and Hebei provinces—hence the alternate name "Tianqiao Duan." Here you can explore the "Little Three Gorges" of the Zhanghe River, take a boat ride to fully enjoy the mountain and water scenery in the pool; visit the mysterious "Tortoise Cave," where you can hear the beautiful legend of the divine turtle saving the people; and also cross the high-hanging "Iron Suspension Bridge" to experience an exhilarating sense of thrill.
