Huancui Tourist Resort

The Weihai Huancui Tourist Resort was invested in and constructed by the People's Government of Weihai City in May 1992, and was officially established upon approval by the People's Government of Shandong Province on November 8, 1993.

The resort is situated on the western coast of Huancui District, covering a total controlled area of 60.24 square kilometers. It is surrounded by mountains on two sides and faces the sea on two sides, boasting beautiful scenery and a pleasant climate. The Likou Mountain within the area is covered with lush forests, while the northern shore features a national-level protected forest. The coastline stretches 13 kilometers, with 6 square kilometers of tidal flats and 11 square kilometers of shallow sea areas within 15 meters in depth, offering abundant natural tourism resources. The beaches are picturesque, and environmental indicators such as air quality, water quality, and noise levels all meet or exceed national standards, making it an ideal destination for tourism, vacationing, and summer retreats. Two main thoroughfares, the Yan-Wei First-Class Highway and the Yan-Wei Second-Class Highway, run through the resort, connecting it to external sea, land, and air ports (stations). The resort is 8.5 kilometers from downtown Weihai, 10 kilometers from Weihai Port, 20 kilometers from Weihai Railway Station, and 30 kilometers from Weihai Airport. To the west, it is 60 kilometers from Yantai and 300 kilometers from Qingdao.

The entire resort is planned into seven functional zones: the Coastal Recreation Zone, Forest Conservation Zone, Tourist Villa Zone, Science and Technology Industrial Zone, Commercial and Trade Center Zone, Residential Living Zone, and Cultural and Entertainment Zone. Ultimately, it aims to become a tourism-oriented, multifunctional, international, and modern commercial tourist city integrating tourism, commerce, science and technology information.
