Weihai International Seaside Bathing Beach is located on the northern coast of the Weihai Torch High-Tech Industrial Development Zone, bordered by Maga Mountain to the east and Yandun Mountain to the west. The two mountains form a crescent-shaped bay that makes visitors feel as if they are embraced by the sea. The beach stretches over 2,800 meters from east to west, covering a total area of 48 hectares, including 29 hectares of sandy beach, and can accommodate up to 100,000 visitors for summer leisure. It has been listed by the State Oceanic Administration as one of China’s top ten key seaside bathing beaches.

The beach here features a wide, gently sloping shoreline with a flat seabed and minimal hazards. The sand grains are crystal-clear, fine, and uniform, free of any impurities—not only visually pleasing but also ideal for sports such as beach volleyball and beach soccer. The water is clean, with fish clearly visible, earning it the reputation of the “Golden Coast.”

The bathing beach offers comprehensive service facilities, including transportation, communication, changing rooms, and showers. There is also a rich variety of recreational activities such as jet skiing and parasailing. Safety measures like maritime rescue and public security are well in place. It is also home to China’s catamaran training base and the HOBIE International Sailing Federation’s event and training center.

Transportation

1. For airport visitors: Take the airport shuttle bus to the bus station, then transfer to multiple bus lines to Hualian Shopping Mall, and then take Bus 7 (or Bus 85) to reach the scenic area;

2. For ferry passengers: Arrive at Weihai Port by ferry, then take Bus 7 (or Bus 85) to reach the scenic area;

3. For train travelers: After arriving at Weihai Railway Station, walk five minutes to the bus stop on the north side of the station entrance, take Bus 12 directly to Torch Building (500 meters from the sea), or take various buses to Hualian Shopping Mall and then transfer to Bus 7 (or Bus 85) to reach the scenic area.
