Jingzi Village, Sunjiatuan Town

Jingzi Village is located in the northern part of Weihai city, within the territory of Sunjiatuan Town, on the northeastern shore of Putao Bay. It faces Chudao Island to the northwest and is named after Jingzi Mountain to the south. Extending about 0.4 kilometers northwestward into the sea, the area covers approximately 0.01 square kilometers, with the highest point at an elevation of 87.5 meters. The coastline is rocky, featuring obvious signs of erosional characteristics, and the 20-meter isobath lies close to the shore. Nearby tidal currents can reach speeds of up to 2 knots. A white circular lighthouse stands atop the mountain.

The Dragon King Temple in Jingzi Village, built in the late Ming and early Qing dynasties, has a history of over 300 years. Rich in marine resources and with a well-developed fishing industry, the village has ample potential centered around the “sea.” The village committee has continuously explored tourism resources and introduced a variety of tourism programs, attracting visitors from all over: the most primitive Dragon King Temple in the Jiaodong region, the legendary “Bell Stone,” military caves left from a former naval base, the sparkling Moli Beach, and fishing off Maotou Mountain by the sea.
