Zhuozhou City Museum

Zhuozhou City Museum is located at No. 49 Huayang West Road, Zhuozhou City, covering an area of 23 mu, with a construction area of 12,000 square meters and a total investment of 136 million yuan. The museum houses 8 exhibition halls, with an exhibition area of 8,000 square meters, and was opened to the public free of charge on June 30, 2014.

With the theme "Fertile Land of Youyan, Beautiful Zhuozhou," the museum showcases the rich historical and cultural heritage of Zhuozhou. Among them, the "Long Ballad of Zhuozhou Waters" exhibition hall displays the ancient civilization of Zhuozhou; the "Soul of Stone Art" and "Vibrant Pottery Rhyme" exhibition halls are dedicated to special displays of fine cultural relics; the "Legacy of Fanyang" exhibition hall features a rich collection of Zhuozhou’s intangible cultural heritage; the "Eventful Years" exhibition hall presents the revolutionary history of the people of Zhuozhou; and the central "Pillar of Heaven" hall features large-scale bas-reliefs depicting six major historical events in Zhuozhou. The museum also includes storage facilities for cultural relics, an academic lecture hall, pottery-making experiences, a tea bar, and rest areas, making it a comprehensive museum that integrates collection, exhibition, research, publicity, education, and leisure.

From its opening until May 1, 2015, the museum received guidance from leaders and experts at all levels, while the general public visited in large numbers. At peak times, the museum welcomed up to 3,000 visitors per day, and within 10 months of opening, it had hosted nearly 250,000 visitors.
