The Qianfeng Mountain Scenic Area is located on the eastern foothills of the Taihang Mountains, 35 kilometers west of Fuping County and 35 kilometers from the Buddhist holy site of Mount Wutai. Nestled within valleys at elevations ranging from 957 to 2,129 meters, it is named Qianfeng Mountain (Thousand Peaks Mountain) for its numerous steep cliffs and towering, uniquely shaped peaks. The area features undulating mountain ranges, overlapping ridges, and crisscrossing valleys, combining grandeur, danger, wonder, and beauty. It embodies the mystique of Mount Yandang and the elegance of Mount Huang, offering endless fascination. Majestic peaks such as Thousand-Zhang Cliff, Sky-Piercing Sword, Phoenix Rock, Frogs Leaping Over the Pond, and Heaven’s Crack leave visitors in awe. Crystal-clear mountain springs gurgle through the woods, while unnamed wildflowers bloom vibrantly amid buzzing bees and fluttering butterflies, creating a fairy-tale "heaven on earth."

This place boasts a forest of striking peaks, grotesque rocks, towering cliffs that seem to split the earth, and clouds swirling in the mist. A peak that looks like a cliff when viewed head-on and a pillar from the side is called “Sky-Piercing Sword”; a steep cliff that extends hundreds of meters in undulating layers is named “Heaven’s Book Cliff.” A cluster of rocks resembling frogs lined up on the mountainside is known as “Frogs Jumping into the Pond,” while one shaped like a monkey kneeling on the ridge is called “Golden Monkey Worshipping the Buddha.” A valley sandwiched between two mountains is termed “Heaven’s Crack,” and a stone corridor passing through a mountain is known as “Heaven’s Gate Cave.” Here, the rocks are anthropomorphized, infused with life.

The deep, narrow valleys twist and turn, valley within valley, like an endless maze. The wild, pristine scenery unfolds before visitors step by step, making them feel as if they’ve wandered into a magical fairy-tale world.

Scenic Area Address: Longquanguan, Fuping County, Baoding City, Hebei Province

By Bus: Take a bus from Fuping County to Longquanguan, get off at Balizhuang, then transfer to a minibus to Hanzhuang.

By Car: Take Provincial Highway S832, a few kilometers east of Longquanguan Town, enter via the entrance at Balizhuang — proceed to Gongjiazhuang — Beiliuzhuang — Hanzhuang — then drive another seven or eight kilometers to reach the entrance of Qianfeng Mountain.
