The former site of the government and military headquarters of the Shanxi-Chahar-Hebei Border Region is a National Key Cultural Relics Protection Unit, a classic red tourism attraction, and a base for patriotic education.

The former site of the government and military headquarters of the Shanxi-Chahar-Hebei Border Region is located in Huashan Village, Fuping County, Baoding City. It is a National Key Cultural Relics Protection Unit, consisting of five sites: the former headquarters of the Shanxi-Chahar-Hebei Military Region in Chengnanzhuang, the former residence of Chairman Mao in Huashan, the site where the Shanxi-Chahar-Hebei Border Region Government was established in the county town, the former office location of the Shanxi-Chahar-Hebei Border Region Government in Jiabei, Shijiazhai Township, and the former headquarters of the Shanxi-Hebei Military Region in Miaotai, Shijiazhai Township. Zhang Lifang and his team conducted research at each sub-site of the former government and military headquarters and provided preliminary suggestions for protection planning and restoration.
