Jing Ke Pagoda

Jing Ke Pagoda is a cultural tourism attraction.

Jing Ke Pagoda, also known as Shengta Yuan Pagoda, is located on Jingke Mountain, two kilometers southwest of Yixian County. It is a key provincial cultural heritage site. Originally built in the third year of the Qiandong era of the Liao Dynasty (1103), it has undergone multiple renovations during the Ming Dynasty’s Wanli era, the Qing Dynasty’s Kangxi and Qianlong eras, as well as in 1985 and 1986 after the liberation. The pagoda now stands 24 meters tall, has thirteen stories and an octagonal base, and is constructed from brick and stone. It rests on a lotus-shaped pedestal and is topped with a relic casket. Each of the eight corners on every level of the pagoda is adorned with a wind chime that produces a clear, pleasant sound when the wind blows, echoing across the surrounding area.
