The Langya Mountain Patriotic Education Base is located 45 kilometers southwest of Yixian County in Hebei Province, 50 kilometers from Baoding, 160 kilometers from Beijing, and 240 kilometers from Tianjin. It mainly consists of the Five Heroes of Langya Mountain Exhibition Hall, the Five Heroes Memorial Tower, the Cliff-Jumping Site, and the Beiloushan Martyrs' Cemetery.

On September 25, 1941, the five heroes lured the Japanese invaders toward a dead end to ensure the safe evacuation of the main forces of the Eighth Route Army and the local people. Eventually, with no ammunition and no escape route, they sacrificed themselves by leaping off the cliff, composing a moving and tragic ode of valor that shook heaven and earth. Langya Mountain is also an ecological treasure, a natural green oxygen bar. With a forest coverage rate of 80%, the mountain boasts a rich variety of flora including trees, shrubs, vines, and herbs, categorized into 9 types, 96 families, 325 genera, and 817 species. Langya Mountain is a historic mountain with profound cultural heritage. The mountain is dotted with temples and ancient caves, and is rich in legends.
