Fengyang Stone Bridge

Fengyang Bridge is a three-arch stone bridge constructed from bluestone, located in Zhangbafu Village, Huxi Town, Boxing County, Binzhou City.

It was built in the 42nd year of the Jiajing reign during the Ming Dynasty (1563) and renovated in the 18th year of the Daoguang reign during the Qing Dynasty (1838). Originally called Fengyang Bridge, it was referred to as Qinglong Bridge during the Qing Dynasty. The bridge spans the Wolong River from north to south. This three-arch stone bridge is 6.5 meters long and 4.4 meters wide. On the northern and southern sides of the bridge foundation, there are two water-dividing stones on each side. The bridge railings feature six pillars on each of the north and south sides, with five panels on each side. The railing panels are carved with folk tales such as "The Phoenix Facing the Sun," "The Eight Immortals Crossing the Sea," and "Flowers and Birds of the Four Seasons." Inscriptions on the bridge railings still remain, reading “Fengyang Bridge Established in the Ji Hai Year of the Jiajing Reign of the Ming Dynasty” and “Qinglong Bridge Renovated in the Wu Xu Year of the Daoguang Reign of the Qing Dynasty.”
