The Xinzhang Site in Boxing
The Xinzhang Site covers an area of approximately 40,000 square meters, with a cultural deposit layer about 1.5 meters thick. Collected artifacts include: stone chisels, stone sickles, and crescent-shaped double-holed stone knives from the Yueshi culture; black pottery jar-shaped ding vessels and bone awls; sandy red pottery li tripod rims and jar rims with cord-marked patterns, as well as large-bodied gray pottery dou vessel bases from the Shang and Zhou periods; and gray pottery jar rims, basin rims, stone molds for casting Ban Liang coins, and stone molds for casting Yujia coins from the Han Dynasty.
