Pei-Yuan Memorial Martyrs' Pavilion

Pei-Yuan Memorial Martyrs' Pavilion is a cultural relic protection unit of Binzhou City.

Constructed in 1945 by the Boxing County Government and local residents to honor more than 20 officers and soldiers of the Third Brigade of a certain Eighth Route Army unit who died in battle against Japanese puppet troops at Peijia Village and Yuangjia Village on December 30, 1941. The pavilion is square in shape, 5 meters high with each side measuring 3 meters. It has a brick-and-wood structure and a four-cornered pyramidal roof. A stone stele is set within the pavilion, which is 1.53 meters tall and 0.7 meters wide. The stele on the south side is inscribed with the words “Eternal Heroism”; the north stele bears an inscription recounting the details of the Pei-Yuan battle, written by Wang Jianxin and calligraphed by Jia Yizhai; the west stele lists the names of the martyrs; the east stele records the year and month when the pavilion was erected. The pavilion is surrounded by a brick floral wall, 1.8 meters high and 12 meters on each side, with an arched gate on the southern side.
