Baijia “Mosque”

Baijia “Mosque” is a cultural tourism attraction.

Built in the second year of the Chongzhen era of the Ming Dynasty (1629), it was renovated in the eighth year of the Qianlong era of the Qing Dynasty (1743) and restored again in the ninth year of the Jiaqing era (1804), but was damaged during the Cultural Revolution. It was rebuilt on April 20, 1981. The courtyard is 41 meters long and 22 meters wide, covering an area of 902 square meters; the main prayer hall is 16 meters long and 10 meters wide, consisting of two large rooms and six small ones; the four rooms to the south serve as ablution facilities, and the four rooms to the north function as a lecture hall. A plaque inscribed with “Mosque” hangs in the main hall, written by Wu Peifu.
