Leling Jilu Border Region Revolutionary Memorial Park

The Leling Jilu Border Region Revolutionary Memorial Park is a national AAA-level tourist attraction, a Shandong Provincial Cultural Relics Protection Unit, a classic red tourism destination, and a patriotic education base.

The Jilu Border Region Revolutionary Memorial Park is located on the east side of Zaolin Tourism Road in Zhujizhen, Leling City. It mainly features an entrance memorial archway, a revolutionary memorial hall, a memorial square, a square group sculpture, the former residence of Chang Dama and an experiential tunnel, a martyrs' stele forest, Tongxin Pavilion, a cultural corridor, a landscape fountain, and various other landscapes.

The Jilu Border Region Revolutionary Memorial Hall covers an area of approximately 2,800 square meters. Its exhibition design highlights major events, important activities, and notable figures. Through panels, texts, physical objects, paintings, models, scenes, display cases, multimedia, and other forms, it comprehensively reflects the magnificent revolutionary history of the military and civilians in the border region under the leadership of the Party.

As the core area of the Jilu Border Region, Leling has, in order to protect and pass on the precious red historical culture of this region, relocated the original "Leling Advancing Park" and the original "Leling Revolutionary Memorial Hall" into the Leling "Zaoxiang Hongyun" Red Culture Experience Area in 2013, based on the wishes of the general public and the families of martyrs and soldiers. Relying on the "Zaoxiang Hongyun" Red Culture Experience Area, "Leling Advancing Park" was renamed the "Jilu Border Region Revolutionary Memorial Park," and "Leling Revolutionary Memorial Hall" was renamed the "Jilu Border Region Revolutionary Memorial Hall."

"History is a mirror that reflects the rise and fall." Only by remembering and facing up to history can we do well in the present and create the future. The construction of the Jilu Border Region Revolutionary Memorial Park and Memorial Hall has greatly enriched the content of Party spirit education and patriotic education in the Jilu Border Region. It will surely become an important base for Party history and Party spirit education, patriotic education, and integrity construction education not only in the Jilu Border Region but also across the country. It will also further inspire over 10 million people in the Jilu Border Region to remember the revolutionary history, honor the martyrs, stimulate entrepreneurial enthusiasm, and work together to build a "beautiful hometown" and realize the "Chinese Dream."

The completion of the Jilu Border Region Revolutionary Memorial Hall has fulfilled the long-cherished wish of the people of the entire city. It has become an important milestone in the construction of large-scale revolutionary memorial venues in Dezhou, Shandong Province, and has added new highlights to the development of red tourism. It has not only become an important carrier for us to commemorate revolutionary predecessors, pay tribute to the spirits of martyrs, and receive revolutionary tradition education, but also injected new momentum into inheriting the martyrs’ aspirations, promoting the revolutionary spirit, and accelerating reform and opening up. It will surely become an important platform for Party history and Party spirit education as well as for promoting socialist core values across the province and even the whole country. It will also become an important base for educating Party members and cadres, youths, and the general public in ideals and beliefs, integrity, revolutionary traditions, and patriotism.
