Zhujizhen Town is located in the northeastern part of Leling City and is the main production area of “Leling Golden Silk Jujubes” as well as an important jujube export base under the National Forestry Department. Zhujizhen is famous for its abundant golden silk jujube production and is known as the “Hundred-Mile Jujube Township.”

Historical records show that the cultivation of jujubes in this town dates back over 3,000 years, originating in the Shang and Zhou dynasties, flourishing in the Wei and Jin periods, and reaching its peak during the Ming and Qing dynasties. The total number of jujube trees has grown to 25 million, with an annual production of 100 million kilograms of dried jujubes. The forest coverage rate exceeds 70%, offering a superior natural environment and beautiful scenery. The town has been honored with titles such as “Hometown of China’s Golden Silk Jujubes,” “Hometown of China’s Famous and Premium Golden Silk Jujube Specialties,” “National Agricultural Tourism Demonstration Site,” “Strong Tourism Township of Shandong Province,” and “Self-Drive Tourism Demonstration Site of Shandong Province.”

Currently, Zhujizhen has developed into a modern town dominated by “agritourism,” integrating industry, transportation, communications, commerce, trade, culture, education, and healthcare.

Self-Driving Directions:

1. Drive westward along Provincial Highway 315 at the Leling boundary, make a right turn after about 8 kilometers onto the Jujube Forest Agricultural Eco-Tourism Road, then drive straight for 3 kilometers to reach Zhujizhen Town;

2. Take the Debin S12 Expressway, exit at Shanghe–Leling, make a left turn and drive about 3 kilometers, then make a right turn onto the New Outer Ring Road and drive 7 kilometers (at the junction of the New Outer Ring Road and Provincial Highway 315) to the Tourist Road, then drive 5 kilometers and make a right turn to reach Zhujizhen Town.
